Our client was tired of cooking in a cramped kitchen and not being able to be a part of the conversation while cooking. She wanted more of an open concept and that's what we delivered. Luckily the wall was not load bearing, so it was simple to remove. We were able to match the existing hardwood floors and crown molding.
The kitchen in our client's home was far too small for their growing family, it was dark and cramped. We were able to remove a few walls and maximize the space we had to work with while adding bright and cool colors the space now looks unrecognizable. It now has white countertops, gray cabinets, a beautiful white and gray subway-style backsplash, and all new appliances. The floors now match the rest of the house.
After getting remarried our client and his new wife wanted to renovate the old kitchen. We took down a couple of walls and added double doors leading to the new fireplace and the dining room. After removing the wall to allow for the double doors we replaced the old brick fireplace with a 3-sided stone fireplace. The floors are absolutely amazing. They are made up of Natural Oak with a Brazilian Cherry border.
Our clients wanted to create a larger, more open living space, so we were brought in to remove the wall between the living room and dining room. After carefully installing new structural pillars for support, we seamlessly color-matched and patched the floor where the wall had been. Check back soon to see the stunning powder room we built just off the foyer, adding both functionality and style to this newly transformed space.
Our client's deck posts were set in the ground and that caused them to slowly rot over time. We dug the posts up and filled the holes in. We were then able to create concrete footings for each of the posts. The deck posts are now above grade level and out of the way of any water that could potentially pool on the patio below the deck which would lead to more rotten wood.
